Not all Xtians believe that those who commit suicide are damned to hell. Those that believe that this is so are more from the sects of Christianity that are "works-oriented", i.e. must do more "good things" than "bad things" to get to heaven. Examples are Catholics, Orthodox (Greek and Russian), and Church of Christ.

The sects of Christianity that are "grace-oriented" believe that Christ died for past, present, and future sins. This way, the Christians who die in car accidents won't go to hell for repeating the most often used phrase immediately before the collision, which is by the way.. "Shit!"
