Post Cold Feet (literally)

I always seem to end up with cold feet when I am at my computer for any amount of time.

I where my slippers.
They are fuzzy on the inside.
They keep my feet nice and warm.
Then my feet start to sweat.
Then they get cold.
Then I remove my feet from slippers to let them air out.
Then they get REALLY cold
Then they dry out.
Then I put them back in my slippers.
They keep my feet nice and warm.
Then my feet start to sweat.

I think you can see where this is going.
Is there any way to stop this vicious cycle, or am I doomed to a life of cold feet? <img src="graemlins/boohoo.gif" border="0" alt="[Boo Hoo]" />

Find a rug, place rug under desk where feet go. Wear socks.
This fails, get a dog that likes to lie at your feet. Use dog as footrest (mine loves it)

Sounds like Raynauds syndrome...see the other thread "I'm cold Why?" for more info

Also possible sitting in the same postion is affecting your circulation...

Do the words "Space Heater" ring a bell? Many of the chicks at work have little heaters under their desks.

I have this too.

Your problem is likely poor circulation in your legs. Your best bet is to stay fit and healthy, because if you have any problems with your blood vessels (athersclerosis, etc) you're fucked.

I get really cold feet. My bf says I have ice feet. I am not allowed to touch him with my feet when I get in bed. I always wear socks. I have these special hiking socks that I wear to bed, because they are super warm, but they also keep your feet dry. You could look into something like that, I got them at REI. My hands get really cold when I am on the computer too much. I know I have bad circulation. It doesn't help when the cat sits on my leg, so it always falls asleep.

Sorry this is very rambling.

I'drecommend the sock route. It sounds like your slippers are too warm to begin with, so wear something that doesn't make your feet sweat.

I've done the same thing in the past.

These days the computers themselves put out so much heat and my wife keeps the house warmer, I don't use one anymore.
