I'm not personally fond of cats (must have been one in a past life, because I get along with cats about as well as another cat does) but since we've had a no-roam by-law the rabbits have gotten completely out of hand. So far, a couple of cottontails have kept to grazing my lawn, but if they start on my hops, well, the poor liddle bunny-wabbits are going to be turning up not shredded by claws and teeth but [excessively graphic detail deleted] by the strange man who lives in the red bungalow.

Across the river from me the ravens have turned predatory and even stoop to rabbits, leaving half-eaten carcasses on the lawns. The residents there miss the relatively tidy eating habits of housecats.
