Default Entertainment at DarwinTalk.com

I don't know how many of you all frequent other E/C message boards but, a new IDiot, Crusader, has shown up at DarwinTalk and has decided to explain how Evolution is not scientific. You can read it here.

The scary part is that this Crusader person claims to be a science teacher in his/her profile.

Enjoy!

I love this quote by Crusader (nice tag, btw):

"Now the absurdity of attributing what trained scientists with their costly equipment in an artificially controlled environment cannot produce to have all been the result of an unknown process operating in an unknown environment underneath an unknown atmosphere from unknown chemicals which shows us beyond doubt that it was the way the first life came about!"

Soooo, according to this view, since just 70 or so years ago, scientists could not split an atom, or until just 50 or so years ago, scientists could not cause fusion, then in 1900, the sun must have been a big incandescent bulb. The transition to a giant fusion reactor must have been momentous.

Just a few hundred years ago, scientists could not create an electical arc between two conductors (when was the dynamo invented?) so lightning must have been a giant white sheet flapping in the wind.

Nice.
Brilliant.

That website is so mind numbingly depressing.

tek, you're new here, so I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt. Please, could explain what evolution means, as you see it?

It seems that a lot of the threads over there get sidetracked into bickering with the creationists, so I registered and suggested that they create a new sub-forum for evolution discussion/debate without the creationism. The thread is here.

http://www.darwintalk.com/message-bo...0d8a3a52f437b6

If any of you regularly post there and would like to show support for the idea, please do. I know that place can be more than just a hotspot for unsupported assertions and bickering.

I wonder if Jesus is lord is David Menton?

I mean, he cut and pasted most of one of Menton's essays and didn't even cite it...
