Halo is GREAT!

I also like Serious Sam which is just ridulously silly and fun. I particularly like it since it has cooperative play in system link, so I can have the big tv in the bedroom all to myself (we are a two xbox household!) while me and hubbie kick some serious bull butt.

I also like Burnout 2. Outlaw Golf is fun, too, for a slower game. I enjoyed Baldur's Gate as a cooperative game, was pretty fun. Hubbie really likes Medal of Honor.

I rolled a thief/magic user, and within the first few hours, had managed to steal an entire set of glass armor. Nothing could touch me after that. I lost interest.

Anyone interested in Morrowind for the Xbox should wait for the new version, since that will have the 2 expansion packs as well as some other extras included. Of course, the best way to play it is on PC, where you can constantly download all the mods you want, and add the expansions as they're released .

They are going to release a new version of Morrowind on the XBox? Sweet. I am tempted to get it too.

Default CVS2 !!!

If you either like fighting games or are relatively new to fighting games, Capcom vs. SNK 2 is a pretty good game to get.

And, if you're a die hard Macross/Robotech fan, you might like Robotech Battlecry.

Did you buy the guide book to help you find the armor (Oh IPU, I'm such a geek)? I got a lot of cheats and hints online about where to find stuff and how to make money and that's when I became unstoppable. I could roll through a group of nasties with my fists after a while.

Sounds like Morrowind was not very challenging. I guess I'll not get it, and hope Fable is better. The magic system is Fable is going to be pretty cool, IMO.

The game is supposed to last one character his entire life; everytime you cast a spell, your character ages. I'm assuming this will affect you abilities. If you cast a less powerful spell, you only age a few months, but if you cast a real ass-kicker, you'll age by 10 years.

From the posts here, I'm probably going to get Halo as soon as I finish with Enter the Matrix.

Are there any games that you guys have played that have been overrated or just sucked? In other words, games to stay away from.

It depends on how you approach it. I found the main mission very tough until I just decided to spend a long time exploring the land, joining various Guilds and doing their missions, etc.

When I got around to doing the main quest again, I was about Level 60+ and it was a bit easy.

So the moral is.... don't try to build a super character until you've completed the main game. Level 20-30 is probably a nice level for doing the later quests.

Halo is a must have, hours of fun. Buffy TVS is a great game also.
I suggest that you just rent games untill you find out what you like. I hated "bloodrayne" after playing Buffy TVS the graphics stink and the games play is lame

Morrowind can be quite challenging, unless you start reading guides and maxing out your character. I wasn't a thief, but I could turn invisible, so the first time a played and ended up at Ghostgate I also stole a set of glass armour, but the second time I played I waited until I could actually get it myself because wearing that kind of stolen armour made talking to guards impossible. Of course, by the time I was done with that character every piece of my armour was enchanted (to make it lighter), as were my clothes and accessories: you can be a god without ever having use cheats if you get enough money for enchanting. I could leap halfway accross a town and land without being hurt (an amulet with jump maxed out and a single point of feather fall), my shirt and pants regenerated health, and so on. Even when you are a god the game is fun to play. Also, being able to name the enchanted stuff is just cool.
