It was simply an honest mistake -- they mis-spelled "P.O. Box". It's a goof that anyone could make!

BTW, folks can verify that ISCID's location is a Mailboxes Etc. office by going to Mailboxes Etc's web-site at <a href="http://www.mbe.com" target="_blank">www.mbe.com</a>

this topic is so hot on ARN that it spawned a second thread:

<a href="http://www.arn.org/ubb/Forum1/HTML/001544.html" target="_blank">ISCID, Mailboxes Etc. and P.O. Boxes</a>

this kind of reminds me of the bush/gore election when a bush commercial had the word "RATS" flash subliminally in the background when they were describing gore's tactics, then denied that it was intentional.

Yeah, I read that thread, and it really has gotten rather ridiculous. The only thing funnier than the ISCID "suite" is how the IDers there are getting so angry about it. Why can't they just laugh like everyone else and get over it? It's not that big a deal, but of course everything's a big deal with IDers. It's that kind of thing that makes me have to take a dramamine before lurking over there.

Regardless of their intentions, I for one was led to believe that ISCID had a physical Princeton location, and they certainly did nothing to caution against that image. Which of course is precisely why I found the photo to be so funny. I don't know why the IDers can't get that through their heads.

In fairness, it should be pointed out that that branch of Mailboxes etc. actually suggests that customers list the address as "Suite" (although this is in violation of postal codes, apparently). OTOH, the "Princeton Office" heading on the list of phone extensions does make it sound like a real office...I'm undecided on whether they were trying to create a false impression or not. Anyway, it's not really important either way, but the picture is pretty funny.

The discussion about the organization's address is causing quite a tempest over at ARN:

The above was discovered by John Stear of No Answers in Genesis.

ID advocates have been tap-dancing around the evidence against it for years; now they will be offering courses how to.

And I found <a href="http://web.starlinx.com/inform-systems/isc.htm" target="_blank">this one</a>. Not so much fun, but it does make one wonder how the hell they all fit into that little box.
