This same is not true for old people who by then must know who they are and will have lived their dream.</strong>

How so Amos??? Why must it be evil for old men to dream??? That sentence struck me, it sounds sad, I firmly believe dreams can help us through the reality of life.

That's actually a quote from the bible ("it is an evil age when old men shall have dreams").

Be careful alli because "it is an evil age when old men shall have dreams" is not the same as "old men who dream are evil." The "age" here makes reference to the social well being of a civilization of which the old men are just members (and in this case more like victims).

Dreams are only possible when we are divided in our mind between the left and right brain (or conscious and subconscious mind). What the bible is trying to say here is that after midlife men should have reached a kind of "yellow" maturity (the word "yellow" you will probably understand). After this dreams are impossible because in such a mature state of mind there will no 'overloads' to dream about.

On once saw a study about this "yellow maturity" concept from around the world. It was done by Erikson and he concluded that there was no English word for this kind of maturity and so he called it "yellow." Sure it is an old study but do you know an English word for it? (I actually do but it will not be proper here).

Zen and the Brain by Dr. James Austin is another book to consider looking into.
This is an excellent suggestion, IMO. If i recall correctly, it was also recommended on several occasions by Gurdur, who i understand to be highly informed on this subject.
