I really feel bad for Californians. The likes of Issa have made a bad situation worse because whoever wins will most likely be an unqualified ideolouge.

I saw this morning that if Davis is reacalled they will serve the new governor with a recall notice at his swearing in ceremony. This is likely to be a never ending process until the Supreme Court steps in and puts a halt to it somehow.

The willingness of the GOP to take any steps in order to assume power is creating a carnival of politics and is destroying democracy.

This country is not a democracy, it is a constitutional republic.

Must I point out that democracy is right below Fascism and maybe even above communism on the list of "Awful ways to run a country." In an actual democracy, the minority has no protection. They could get their right's stripped. This is why we elect a president (sorta), elect congressmen and then these people pull together a supreme court. The US is all about "democracy... only protect the minority."

That's right xorbie. But unfortunately America has turned into a democracy in some ways even though it was never intended to be that way. We have politicians making decision and laws based on what the majority think instead of protecting the equal rights of all. Of coarse they do this to win votes. So really it is the American peoples fault for voting in such a manner. I lay most of the blame on the people brain washed by religion first, and secondly the people brain washed by socialism on the other side of the spectrum.
