If morality is based upon everyone's own individual value-judgements, then why would it surprise you that this woman might perhaps think that her hair is more precious than her two kids? Granted, she may have broken a few laws, but I didn't hear any protest about law-breaking. It sounds to me like you guys are pissed about something else. Something moral perhaps? Media-1 |

"Isn't it obvious? Aren't you making a moral judgement about the mother because of what she did?"
Yes. I disbelieve in fairy tales and I don't require an eternal carrot or a stick to feel assorted visceral emotions regarding the patently offensive behavior of this pathetic human being. Check me off your list Media-1: I am an atheist and I have been wading through these miseries for most of my adult life. My question to you is: If you were an omnipotent, anthropocentrically oriented deity, would you have acted to prevent this suffering from happening? I would have, in an instant. How do you now rate my moral judgement over the deity of your choice? Thanks for your time and consideration in this matter <nods to Buffman> |
