Because the way you pointed it out was at least equal in its madness, and was in itself an afront to people.

Fr. Andrew takes ownership of his beliefs and ideas. You, sir, do not.

Is it your belief that if one is a homosexual, then one must automatically have a certain political agenda as well? Just because I am a homosexual, well, that means I must be a card-carrying member of the far-left, politically, and I automatically must make a statement against pedophila? Should I walk around saying "hello, I am a lesbian - and by the way, I think pedophilia is vile" - ? If I do not take a public stance against pedophilia, am I not doing my job as a homosexual?

I'm not sure what you're getting at, here. You seem angry that I simply don't care about NAMBLA or gay pride parades or the "homosexual agenda" and all these other things, and yet I'm not sure why. You haven't presented a clear enough case why I should care.

If all you had done is quote Fr. Andrew and ask for comments I think this thread would have gone in an entirely different direction.

It was your choice to direct your post to homosexual rights advocates. This thread would have been quite differently focused had you not done that.

You have a definite flair for pointing out the obvious to no apparent purpose.

No. Where would you get that idea from anything I said?

I wouldn't know, of course. Are you doing your job as a homosexual by engaging me in a no-win battle?

I don't know what makes you think I'm angry at anything besides the fact that my position is constantly distorted.

Ah, well...my intelligence has its limits. I don't know how to make it any more clear - assuming clarity is what you want, which I am entirely unconvinced of.

Question

Yguy, how do you expect us to take you seriously when you have offered no evidence that you do not beat fifty puppies to death every week?

This is a perspective I find utterly incomprehensible.

Since all people have good and bad in them, the question is whether it was an affront to the good in them, or an affront to the bad in them. If the latter, I have not the slightest reason to be apologetic, of course - any more than do atheists who offend deluded religionists by pointing out the lies they believe. If the former, perhaps someone can tell me what I have offended in anyone that is good by this thread.

I categorically deny beating to death more than 30 puppies a week.

Maybe our perception of who is pointing out the insanity and who is the purveyor of it in this case is different?

I've never admitted anything of the kind, of course. It's a no win battle for your side because I'm right.
