Bilbo slowly opens his eyes, yawns and stretches. "Wow! What a weird nightmare! I thought someone had closed down ARN and I had to become a member of Infidels! (Chuckle) Can you imagine?" Bilbo looks around at his surroundings. "Hmmm. It looks different! Sir Richi! You've come back! I was just working on another installment for the Quest. I see DNAunion is back to his old self. Nic, glad you could drop in. Myrmecos, good to see you, too. Any new jokes? Scientiae! Well good to see you've found your way into our dungeon! Perhaps you and Leonard can make up and we can get some good humo(u)rist threads going! I never did answer that question of yours. Have I ever been wrong?...still thinking....No seriously, I remembere screwing up once, big time. I forgot to put gas in the car. We ran out on I-96 and the police caught up to us. But we were minors, so our sentences were reduced. Boy, were Leonard and matty pissed off." Bilbo notices that there are all sorts of strangers standing around staring at him. "Hi folks! You must be new here. Welcome to ARN!" Then he notices that his name has an "e" on the end of it. "OK, which one of you's been messing with my profile?"

An errant, blighted knave would I be if I did not stand up for my Nobyl Fellowes of the
Roondish Tybil, Sir Bilbo(e)! Could this be the start of a Humo(u)rist takeover? |

Then didst Sir Bilbo(e) stare in puzzlement at Sir Richi. "'Stand up for'? 'Humo(u)rist takeover?' But we are in the realm of IDURC. Have we not taken over all this land long ago? And who be these strangers amongst us? They seemeth to be friends of yours. Therefore, friends of mine."

Sir Bilbo(e)! What a pleasante surpryse to finde thee here, bringing with thee humo(u)r from dystant landes. Dost thou think that this incalcitrant secular beige which doth adorne the present chat roome ought be changed for a more ARN greene and grey?

...Sir Richi levelled his gaze at Sir Bilbo(e) and, seeing profound puzzlement in his companion's eyes, said, " Forebear, good Sir Bilbo(e)... forebear and steel thyself. For the land of IDURC has grown dark and may be lost forever. Here is a strange new realm where many would seek to confound thee and stir thy anger. Here, not all may be called friend, though I shall always be."

Then didst Sir Biblo(e) stand in utter amazement like one struck by lightning. After a long while didst he finally find voice. "Then my dream...the land of ARN...this place...INFIDELS!!! Help!! Help!! I'm surrounded!! Sir Richi! Sir Myrmecos! I beseech thee both! Protect me!"

turtonm,
See Pomp? That's why I mentioned Van Til in the Lewis thread. I knew you'd ask Doug to explain Bible Equations, so I was getting some pre-emptive revenge. You are an evil, evil man. If there is any justice at all in the world, you will soon be visited by a wild-eyes apologist who has an interesting theory involving a Godel-numbering of Van Til's work and some fascinating equations based on that numbering that prove unequivocably that Jesus loves everyone but you. |

Sir Bilbo(e) turned and listened as Sir Pompous the Bastard spake. "Sir Richi, that knight doth seem jolly enough. And I heard him mention Lord Van Til and -- could it be? -- Lord Lewis? And didst he not make mention of Sir Douglas' proof in goodly humor, as did we all in the land of IDURC. Surely here is no knave. May I not know his name?"
