Default Forbidden (bush pre-speech primping) Video Spreads

"Allentown, Pa., viewer Bob Agonis tells us he caught Bush's speech-prep on Portugal's public broadcasting network RTP (for Radioteleviso Portuguesa). Bush could be heard practicing the speech, repeating the same lines over and over, while the Portuguese anchor provided the occasional snickering commentary. Agonis and his wife Sharon "at first figured the White House had given permission early to all the other networks as well," he said. "Then as we flipped and didn't see Bush on American channels, we realized, 'This isn't supposed to be here!'" As for the commentary, "Who knows what they were saying, but it was easy to detect their laughs. The worst part is that it wasn't just an accidental feed strictly to Allentown, but it's going to Portugal, Brazil. Altogether it's not good!"

This is sad. It would also be sad if this was done to Hussein, or any other world leader.

We are to respect those who are in authority over us - this reeks of lack of respect.

Bush isn't "in authority over us." "We the people" granted him his executive power, remember?

Hey sheep,

Bushboy works for US, not the other way around. Why do I have a feeling you weren't so nice to Clinton.

Respect is earned, not given.

Are you some sort of bot spewing this nonsense? Are you 8 years old? I was participating in civil rights protests and boycotts since birth and taught to question authority...where the hell did you come from, TVLand?

I always cringe when I hear bush speak well. It means our President spent too much time that day practicing the big words, and not enough time doing what Presidents do. Which is why we should have elected a President who not only knows the big words, but has the mental capacity for the whole job as well.

No, this is not sad. Do you not think the world has a right to know if the guy with the biggest guns isn't up to the job?

The really sad thing? Sheeple spewing forth non-democratic, oppressive crap of the kind quoted above.

Or would you prefer, perhaps, to return to a more feudal system? They were really big on respecting those in autority back then, you know.

Exclamation

I'm beginning to think that spurly actually is a bot; I've never seen such consistent "yes-man" behavior in a flesh-and-blood human being.
