For those of you who remember, a month and a half ago I was rear-ended and the police officer who wrote the report claimed (erroneously) that I was partially at fault, and thus the other driver was not liable for damages. Her insurance company denied my claim.
A month ago, I filed a small claims court lawsuit. For the past MONTH I've been religious about checking my mailbox looking for notification of when my court date was. When I hadn't heard anything about it, I called a week ago, and was told to call a week later (i.e., right now) for word. I call at 9:30 this morning. Guess what? My fucking court date was at 9:00 in the morning TODAY. I just got screwed. Again. Damn it. |

Well, guess I'm not as screwed as I thought I was. I just got a letter from her attorney (why is she even bothering?) today about my failure to appear yesterday, and asking me to forward the notification of the new trial date to them when I get it. So I guess it's just rescheduled.
