There is an uncritical article on Kent Hovind in Stars and Stripes:

That article was something else. I found this particularly amusing:

�Evolution caused World War II,� he said.

Followed by (a few lines later):

"His qualifications to talk about the subject are questioned."

Actually, though Hovind is nuts, evolution IS just a theory.

So is gravity.

So is quantum mechanics.

So is special and general relativity.


But they are pretty good theories.

Your point is well made, but evolution is more than a theory. That living thngs have evolved by descent with modification from common ancestors is a scientific fact. The theory of evolution is a scientific explanation for how this occurred.
