Default Thanks for the tax cut!!!

Gosh, I just opened my paycheck and saw that I got an extra $40 due to the latest tax cut.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my grandchildren and their children etc for paying for this. I'm sure they will understand that my money is much more important to me than their money will be, er, uh...to...me.

Be careful. Part of the tax "cut" is simply lowering withholdings. If you aren't up in the range of income to benefit greatly from the tax cut, you may be in for a huge suprise at the end of the year.

I suggest you adjust your withholdings to avoid any unpleasantness, or at least talk to an accountant. H&R Block has always been more than glad to answer peoples' questions.

Yeah, hip-hip-hurray. I will have a take-home of somewhere between $30 & $50/month greater (the uncertainty comes from plugging in my income vs income after taking out my contributions to my retirement fund). $10/week. I will not even notice this. Isn't it nice to know others will not have medical coverage, food, or a place to live so I can have another $10/week?

Retirement tips:

1. Learn to love living outdoors.
2. Alpo isn't bad when heated, I am told.
3. Don't count on help from your kids. They will be really pissed at you, and in no position to help, as they toil to pay down the staggering debt we are generating.
4. Don't count on your stocks; Enron was just the beginning.

Yep, what pisses me off is that Bush claims to be a Christian. He is such a hypocrit. He wouldn't know the teachings of Christ if it bit him in the ass.

He's a Paulist...only this, and nothing more.

You've got to be kidding me. These boobs really did that? Forget about your grandchildren paying for it, WE will be paying for it in less than two years. Did anyone up there in DC think of the collection costs for all the newly created tax deadbeats? Though on second thought, it wouldn't surprise me if this is another set-up to create more criminals out of people minding their own business.

The next development is Halliburton offers to "lend" the US Government money to "bail it out."

Yes, they really did that. There really IS a Santa Claus, Virginia, and he docks you with huge interest and penalties. This is simply the neocons' way of making Joe Sixpack feel that he is actually benefitting from the tax cuts, and sticking it to him anyway.

The fact that he is doing it in the year before an election is odd, but lends support to the theory that there will be another war or "terrorist incident" just before the primaries.

These are serious people, and they will do anything to win, Bubba.
