On the upside, ive got some armani frames. on the downside, unless im wearing glasses, i dont know what the frames look like.

When I first moved to where I now live, the optometrist was visibly shaken when I went in for my eye exam..."You mean you can't see that?" I had 20/500 vision and it's worsening...everything is blurry with the glasses i have now. argh.

now for my ten things:

1. i spent all last night listening to the cure.
2. i make kickass vegetarian chili.
3. i play the viola in 2 orchestras.
4. i too worship mystery science theater. i used to worship at the tv every saturday morning until services were cancelled.
5. i love calvin and hobbes, but i never could imagine, nor would i ever want to, what calvin or hobbes's voices would sound like.
6. bill bryson is my idol.
7. i play SET a LOT.
8. i'm teaching myself greek in my physics class because, although the teacher is a smart, funny guy, most of my classmates are a bunch of morons and we can never learn anything because somehow,to them, 2-dimensional vector addition is VERY sexually suggestive...ribald jokes abound.
9. i'd like someone to reassure me that once i get out of high school, life at college will be much better.
10. i eat pizza one layer at a time with a fork. i remove the cheese and eat it, scrape off the sauce and eat it, then cut the bread into pieces and eat it, and then eat the crust.

1. I am a graduate mathematics student at Stanford University (score!).

2. Fact 10. is false.

3. I am 5'10", and I can dunk on a regulation basketball rim.

4. I have never had any liquor ever.

5. My real name is Leobardo.

6. I don't know how to swim.

7. I have yet to get laid, and I am 22.

8. My father was an illegal immigrant at one point in his life, and I am pretty sure I was conceived when he still was.

9. I can bullshit with the best of them.

10. Fact 2. is true.

1. My younger brother once threw a metal spoon at me, which cut my ear at the bottom, where it meets the head. I had to get stitches.

2. I got my revenge though. One day he wanted me to shoot him up in the air by using my legs (I sit on my back, and bring my legs in, he sits on them, and I push him, launching him up).
When I did so, I pushed a bit to hard, making him fly up, hit the ceiling with his head, coming down on his arm, breaking it.

3. I once played golf in the dark, when I was 12. As you can imagine, this did not last long. My younger brother didn't move far enough back, so when I swung back to hit the ball, I hit him in the mouth. (was using a driver) I chipped his front teeth and gave him a big fat lip.

4. I have a wide variety of music taste. I like metal, rap, trance/techno and classical music.

5. I think I almost single handly screwed up the Accelerated Reading test system at my school (Read a book, answer some questions on a computer about it, get a score which is a test score). I had chipped some bone under my knee, so I had to wear a leg brace (that kept my leg straight). I was taking gym, so they made me go into the Libary everyday.

Being the little deviant, hoodlum I was, I sorta broke into the program, and got the answers and access to everyones AR points. I'm sure you can figure out the rest. (Did not get caught)

6. I never felt guilty about number 5, and still don't.

7. Related to number 5. I was able to get access to my teachers grades that they put into the computer .... Also don't feel to guilty about that, since I always did great on test and quizzes, but never did my homework, which would also greatly damage my grade.

8. I'm 17. Brown eyes. Brown hair, with bleached streaks.

9. I recently changed my alias from vonmeth (which I made up, which means nothing, and is quite stupid) to uhcord, which is also quite stupid and suppose to be a mimic of my favorite car, the Honda Accord.

10. Despite my best efforts, I can never figure out a alias I actually like. I want it to be a word no one ever used, I want it to be short (about 3 to 6 letters long) and I want it to sound weird/funny/nice/good.

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind.
I went up on a tandem as part of a dare. The guy I jumped with was a former Golden Knight.

It was the most amazing thing I'd ever experienced up until that time. I've only had two other things that came close:

1. Flying aerobatics in an Extra 300.

2. Driving a Winston Cup car at 150+mph.

1. I am almost fearless, friends used to freak when I would dangle from balconies for the sake of showing off.

2. I have a nasty phobia of being hit by lightning.

3. I think that short stories kick the sorry asses of novels. Speculative fiction, which consists of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror, is a step above Realist fiction.

4. I spent 6 months with a friend traveling throughout Latin America. We drove down.

5. My goal is to abandon Toronto in favor of somewhere in Venezuela with enough money to retire. I have about two years or so left before I'm ready.

6. I'm a chess nerd.

7. I liked the LOTR movie a lot, but I didn't love it despite being a hardcore fantasy fan. The decision to make Gimli's role that of a classic clown was especially disappointing.

8. I hated The Matrix despite being a hardcore science fiction fan. Someone should inform the script writer that science fiction wasn't invented by Hollywood, there was tons of material he could have stolen from literary science fiction instead of trying to make it up on his own and producing action dribble.

9. I shouldn't complain too much about Horror on screen, since Hollywood can't help itself for being handicapped, but I do anyway. I did like the first Blair Witch, though.

10. I can't eat cooked vegetables, nor drink milk. Bleh. Gimme raw veggies and coffee, thanks.
