Several months ago the Swiss government was supposedly considering EU membership. What benefits would this bring?
Are the Swiss people and government ready to accept the supranational effects of the EU (and a logical loss of sovereignty)? |

Maybe they don't want to be the doughnut-hole in a continental superstate. "Considering membership" sounds a lot friendlier than "bog off, we're happy being Swiss."
There are so many opt-outs and layers of membership, it's not as though it would be all that different for them. |
