Early Friday morning (around 3:30), I had some very nasty stomach pain. I ended up in the ER around 6am because I couldn't wait for my doctor's office to open. After a day of being poked, prodded, and scanned I was found to have an inflamed appendix. I had to spend the night in the pediatrics wing because there were no private rooms available in the rest of the hospital. I thought about going to the playroom and hoarding all the good toys, but I was afraid one of the parents might punch me. Not a pleasant night, but I did get some good drugs and there were several attractive nurses on duty. Now I get to be cooped up home for a week - no driving or anything too physical. At least I have some Percocet
![]() This was the third time in 5 years I had gone to the ER for severe stomach pain. Nothing had ever been found before, but this was the first time I had an ultrasound or CAT scan. I'm hoping my appendix was the problem and I won't have any more issues. So, what's missing from your body? |

I am 'missing' my right great toe joint. Because of arthritis, a bone graft from my hip was used to connect my right big toe to the bone in the foot, thereby making the joint disappear. And, yes I do walk a little funny. Does that count as missing a body part??

Foreskin. Removed when I was eight days old, for religious reasons.

I am missing three disks in my neck. They were removed when I had Anterior Corpectomy on my C-4 through C-7 vertibrae. I now have some dead person's donated bone in my neck too along with a couple of titanium plates and screws. This was to remove an bone spur in the spinal canal and fix the ruptured disks that were the result of a twenty plus year old oilfield accident (pump fell 30 feet onto my helmeted head and left shoulder).
I am missing the outer 1/4 inch of the nail on my right big toe, it was removed surgically to cure chronic ingrown toenails that invariable led to chronic infection. Ever drill a hole in a toenail to drain the puss? It ain't pretty. I am also missing my tonsils, removed at age 6. Kept them in a Gerber baby food jar until all the formaldehyde evaporated and the little things were completely dessicated. Limbs intact. Testicles disconnected. Oh, sorry, I was taking inventory. I'd like to report the strange disappearance of my hair, it seems to be missing from some areas of my head, although it could be hiding somewhere else on my body. Warren in Oklahoma, missing my brain some of the time... |

I'm missing my foreskin as well, though I still have all my hair and genetics looks good for me keeping it
![]() Otherwise everything is intact, including tonsils and wisdom teeth. I've got an addition of a patch of monofilament mesh near my lower stomach from a hernia (not the way low down type!!) Unfortunately I do not make any cool noises like the $6 million man. |
