The latest from Randman's mouth:

"Let everyone know that I posted exactly the same arguments [at II] as I have done here on earlier threads. I think the soundness of my arguments speak for themselves."

You got that right.

Looks like he's worn out his welcome on the ZZ.

Quite the contrary, RufusAtticus. The thread you refer to above is a "vote" to decide who won the evolution "pissing contest"-- the evolutionists (primarily me) or randman and his ilk.

I'm Piratically Correct. Most of the posters on that board are voting for randman's "sound logic" that he used to thrash the "wacko" atheists and the belief in their "relgion"- Darwinism.

Many of those people, graduates of one of the top public universities in the US, really believe that randman is presenting "evidence".

Now granted, I stir them up quite a bit when I pound them about their piety and poke fun at their "icons". You can see a little of that at the following links:

Be sure to check the "artwork" borrowed from the II's Humor forum's "photoshop competetion thread in the last two links above..

You're up 6-5, but that's still just

Seriously, pseudobug, why do you even bother with those people? For every reasonable post I have read at ZZ, there must be a half-dozen posts from morons, whackjobs, etc. (read "fundies"). I can understand stirring the pot a bit, but many of them just seem humorless. Besides, you can't beat II; you know that. Who loves ya, baby?

Despite his crowing I think randman lost, and badly, here on II. Unfortunately, on ZZ Lounge I don't think either side won the "pissing contest", and I doubt many of the members there cared enough about it to begin with to come here and read through the discussions. Pseudobug/PC, you need to learn to tone it down a little, and not let the other guy make you lose your cool. Otherwise, For outside observers or people who don't know the subject well, it's easy for the personalities to obscure the facts.

Randman's dishonesty is astonishing:

Quote:
Widmerpool, I generally try to avoid defending creationism in these posts for that very reason, but of course, the first thing an evolutionist partisan does if you criticize evolution, and is try to switch the topic to bashing either the Bible or creationism.
Really, the Bible can be interpreted probably within reason to support several models, but these guys won't ever admit to any weaknesses in their arguments, and if shown wrong, they just keep up their insanity.
It is not what I expected. It really is cult-like.
From this thread: <a href="http://pub93.ezboard.com/finsidecarolinafrm7.showMessage?topicID=1972.topic " target="_blank">http://pub93.ezboard.com/finsidecarolinafrm7.showMessage?topicID=1972.topic </a>

You know, maybe he's right. I never see 'evolutionists' try to defend their models on this board, they just sit around sniping about the unassailable monolith that is creationism.

And I'm sure the Bible supports a whole arkload of models: God created X; God created Y... etc. Double

You are absolutely on the money, MrDarwin. However, this "debate", urinary Olympiad or whatever you wish to call it has been going on for ~3 months between myself and randman.

I was civil for quite a while--far longer, in fact, than the posters here. However, randman is a particularly virulent strain of fundie as II found out in short order.

Your advice is sound though and I'll try to dull my bite with the randmans of the world in future debates concerning evolution--particularly on general boards.

However, it is wonderful stress relief pounding on the randmans of the world.
