jj:

Does a computer infected by a virus program shows free will? I guess, in some way, that will be the analogy. Randomness nor probability does not in any way equate to free will. Because a free will does not speak about probability, and randomness which things point to an unwilled outcome. Free will speaks of desired outcome, either coming from a probable, or random choice.

But my appeal really about free will is the rationality of it as a choice among others, determinism and randomness. Surely determinism exists, and with it everything loses it’s meaning. Given that there is randomness among the behavior of particles things will be chaotic; everything could happen, and therefore leads to unknown direction. If the power that govern us have a free will, it will lead us to a desired outcome. For me, that is eternal life in peace.

Things fascinate me. We, when we were children, we were encouraged by our parents to hope and reach a dream. Aiming a desired future outcome though we are ignorant of the struggles, perseverance, and patience that we may face, and even of the outcome itself. The same dream that propelled great scientists to search the truth about the things considered as irrational during their times. How suddenly, after growing some gray hairs, learning about the deterministic force of science, and knowing better than when we were children, we submit to the idea that all things makes no sense, that as like the dust we have actually have no value. At least, for me, that itself is the message of the whole creation; that human is of no value, and is at the mercy of his/her creator. The Bible, from the ancient times, had declared the worth of man really is, proving that the God of Jesus Christ possesses the greatest knowledge that is now being learned.

But despite my appeal for your consideration, still, the chosen will be the one’s to come to such understanding, and thank Him.

God Bless

7thangel; you posts extremely confusing and inconsistent with the message you are trying to convey (what was it again?)

Uh, so if humans are worthless, why would God bother having mercy on any of us? That makes no sense at all...

Jayjay:

How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman? Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight. How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm? Job 25: 4 – 6

I quote the above verses to show that from the beginning we do not really differ from any created things. And that man’s worth of being is of God’s own pleasure.

Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him. Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears. Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth. Isaiah 43:7-10

The above verses expresses that even the anointed man, Jesus Christ, has nothing to glory of himself. God created Jesus to be Lord and Christ, not of worthiness, but of God’s own pleasure. The apostles teaching of Predestination is also leading to the idea that man has nothing to glory of himself.

The point actually, Jayjay, is that we are the only creatures who is given to know the will of God. And that by knowing His will, we will have eternal life, and peace.

I read the thread titled “Existence Doesn’t Make Sense,” posted by Jamie_L, I guess you will not be like others who posted in there trying to justify nothing.

InFlames:

The post is about the existence of things that cannot be proven by the physical experience, that imply also of God. Some are trying to show I do not understand what I am talking about, so I respond to show I understand them.

One interesting that came up is excreationist’s response about intellect. The way how he explained about the computer being having no intellect because its intellect is given by the inventors, would end up to justify man’s absence of intellect because of the dependent of its intellect to the laws of physics. But I know I do have an intellect.

God Bless

He did NOT say that in this thread!! Not to be an ass or anything, but I'm not sure weather you are really incoherent or if you just don't know the english language very well. It seems like there are a lot of communication problems here.

I was saying that Deep Blue doesn't have an intellect because it lacks certain things, such as the ability to learn new problem solving strategies for itself.

We can learn to solve problems, etc, so we can have an intellect. We don't need to be given an intellect from someone else (i.e. the Christian God).
