This isn't about punishing the Dixie Chicks. This whole thing is about intimidation. The right wants to intimidate any possible dissinters from speaking out and they are using McCarthyesque tactics to do it.

Theres only one problem. The right has underestimated the the public. They thought that the already jingoisitc country music fans would jump on this trio of peace-niks and tear them to shreds. Instead the average fan has just ignored the statements and all the hullabaloo and bought the CD and gone to the concert.
