Default New Age

Hey im working on an investigative project for school about the new age and how it has influenced the world. I would appreciate any help, i needl inks to articles that talk about it and if possible i would like to read an atheist/agnostic like opinion and one from a new age follower.

Thanx

"New Age" is a pretty broad category, neo-pagans, nature worshippers/wiccans of all stripes, Gia, mysticism of various kinds, UFO cults, too much stuff, whatever floats your boat.
Most seems to have come out of the 1960's and people who have eaten too much LSD. All highly subjective stuff.

I read a rant somewhere that Henry Kissinger and other forces from the 'Dark side' infitrated the early new age movement to curb the flow of white middle class kids away form good old capitalism/materialism (materiaism in the sense of consumerism)
bringing in bad drugs, commercialism, competiton etc.
A google search should turn up something, search home page here & WWW.

I've run across very few New Age types here. Have you tried some discussion boards that cater them, rather than to atheists and agnostics?

New age is very, very broad, as Marduck has already said. You certainly need to narrow it down to one or two aspects of it. Hell, it even includes medical and psych. therapies!

I spent a year and a half living in a very new agey area in Australia, and a few years before that hanging out in a very new agey area in NZ - so I could try to answer some questions, at least. But you really need to be more specific about what you want.

Yep, you really do need to get specific.
