If you've never felt a 2,000 degree fire, you can't really judge what their "choice" was. Your brain must address the first threat. A wall of heat like that is not something you analyze or think about, you escape it. Then you are falling and you have a new problem, but you weren't falling at first, you were getting away from the heat. I don't know if that makes any sense, but having worked at a foundry, and having stood over a 2,000 degree furnaces I think I have some idea of the fight or flight impulse that went through their heads. (The metal is so hot that it causes sand to burn when it is poured into the mold. Think about the heat it would take to make sand burn) Anyway, they didn't even consider the fall, they had one thought that was consuming their entire brain, escape the heat.

What the hell difference does this picayune razzledazzle about *definitions* matter!? The poor victims are DEAD; and their choice of HOW they chose to die is nobody's goddamned business but their own! That fictional garbage about penalties for "suicide" and the threat of burning eternally in Hell is damned NONSENSE wh/ persons of our intelligence ought to abjure . Why do we bother w/ that trash?

Anyone seen any stories or such where someone decides that a catastrophe with lots of deaths like WTC is a good chance to off someone? After all, if the body is never found, and they were in the general vicinity....

It would take rather quick thinking of course, and you'd have to be capable of cold-blooded murder in the first place, but what an opportunity!
