You are never going to get me to admit to doing all the things here that you do. That would require me to lie and I`m not about to do that. I sure hope you packed a lunch because if this is the game you want to play we are going to be here for a very long time. |

Re Scombrid back in the midst of the "Hitler s^%$"
Quote:
You have to obey every point of the law, or at the very least admit you are a "debtor to the whole law" if you offend in one point, as James said. This includes the sermon on the Mount, which the Phaisees claimed to be obeying with their hundreds of little rituals. Jesus preached it, I think, because people vainly thought they could obey the law, i.e. handing a wife a paper and claiming they were above adultery. Only a hopeless legalist thinks they can cover up adulterous intentions with a piece of paper. God knows we are the incarnation of weakness. The trouble is we do not know it. The law is there to, as Luther said "break to pieces this vain beast" who attempts self-reform by asserting "I will do this and I will do that" thus preventing God from doing "his natural and proper work." In fact any hope of success other than God's own grace and power will lead us to the vain belief we have actually succeeded. Rad |

...So praying to God is my only hope that you will answer my question?
"God, please instruct your weak and imperfect servant Radorth to answer my question". I hope that helps. |

Jack, thinking Fenton was done, I went back four pages to find your "question" and all I found was "still waiting."
Go ahead and restate it if you are really interested in anything but badgering me about it. If I have already answered it, as I suspect I have, then I will probably cut and paste my answer for you from one of my previous posts. That way we'll all know whether you have a reading comprehension problem or not. Rad |

So sorry if I later added the word "atheists" to it. Like I said, you were probably talking about a different group of people when you said it. And sorry, but the evidence clearly shows you were wrong when you accused me of misquoting you. Now if you really want to do something productive, you could point me towards the person here who told you "no Christian has ever done anything good". Take your time and get around to it whenever you can. I know how busy you are trying to chisel away at this website you so despise. Sorry to have to keep spinning your turtle shell, but you`re the one who keeps trying to redeem yourself by arguing small technicalities. |

To clarify:
I'd like a similarly detailed answer to the ones given to you on this thread (by those who answered, which include myself). It doesn't have to be the exact words you'd say to Kali, but it should be a detailed description of your reaction to finding yourself in this theological predicament. Your reaction to the "justice" of it all, your fear (or otherwise) of your fate (and how you might plead), your respect for Kali and the Hindu setup in general. Remember, Christianity is false in this scenario, and it's assumed that you know that for certain. Nobody will be awarding points for remaining loyal to Christian principles. |

Religion is entirely subjective.

He made many speeches in American Baptist Churches in which he quoted loads of scriptural bollocks. Fiach's definition of a Christian: "Anyone who says so." Exactly, Belief is entirely subjective. A person's testimony is the only evidence we have of a person's belief. We can't prove that Clinton was a Muslim or a Hindu. His biograpy supports this. The same case exists for Jimmy Swaggart and Jim Bakker. I equally think that you are a Christian because you said so. Is it my obligation to disprove your Christian belief? Can you prove that I am not an Atheist? Man, you should read the Bible. Jesus strongly disagreed. I did read the Bible extensively. One year (about age 11 or 12) I read it slowly cover to cover and it took me almost a year. I looked at each word and phrase, and tried to understand what it was really sayiing, not necessarily what my pastor said it meant. I also took counselling sessions with a local theologian on Saturdays for 9 months. I enjoyed it. I found the Bible interesting, but totally unconvincing. I don't remember Jesus saying anything about Bill Clinton or Jimmy Swaggart. The Bible was the main influence making me an Atheist. I was not "converted" to Atheism by Infidel books or Secular Humanists. I didn't know what they were when I admitted my Atheism, it was based on the Bible. Working my way up, looking for a meaningful post, containing a relevant provable fact, I am You didn't finish your sentence. You are looking for a meaningful post, why? You didn't find meaning in scriptures? You finish with "I am". Did you not finish the sentence? Or are you calling your self God, "I AM."? ;-) Slainte mhaith, Fiach |
