You wouldn't have to ask me twice. Even if the risk was much higher, I'd go in a heartbeat.

Well, I couldn't technically be a part of the crew because I'm too much of a dumbass...but, I'd go as a lab experiment or something (has anyone fornicated in space yet?)

A dream of mine has always been to travel faster than a speeding bullet...just don't let me anywhere near any of those nifty blinky buttons.

Too bad, blex, I would ~ and then I would raise my glass and down a Guinness as I watched you shine across the sky.

Bloody oath, I would. A 1-2% chance is minuscule. When do I go?

aw thanks, now thats how i want to be remembered... with lots of celebratory alcohol.

or, alternately, i want to be the little known hermit, only known for her extreme wealth and evil demeanour.

both would bring me much satisfaction <if i werent screaming and burning at the time, or already dead>

Default Testing my "quantum immortality theory"

Yes I would risk it as the act of being born guaranteed a 100% fatality rate anywhere and lets face it we are all going to die some day and those astronauts have had a much more painless death than most of us will have. They may of lived on an died an agonizing death after a long drawn out illness in a hospital bed.

But since I cannot observe my own death I may instead make a gestalt switch to a reality that did not have those fatal consequences only to land an discover that the shuttle had more tiles than usual missing in its left wing and heave a sigh of relief and say "phew! that was lucky"

Can't put it better than this.

Hell yes, I'd go.

A 1-2% chance of failure? Yeah, I'd take it in a heart beat. Be scared shitless, but the view would be worth it, no?

I wonder how we would have voted given percentages rising in increments?

20-40, 40-50, etc? I think 25-30% chance of failure would be my cut off.
