No KITT from Knight Rider?

I actually have one of those and know several other people that have one. I know the show sucked but the car was cool. I also know a guy with a Batmobile. Although it is the movie one and not the tv show version.

Yeah, damnit!! Where's KITT?

I was 14 when that show came on and had just gotten into computers. I was going to build one of those cars. Not a replica, a real, talking, thinkng, self-driving car. With the cool scanners light on the front that made that "whew-whew" sound as they scanned. Uh-huh....

Mine doesn't talk much yet. It says a few little phrases. I'm still working on it. The closest it comes to driving itself is when I turn on the cruise control. It has the scanner light and will soon have the digital dash with all the nice flashy lights. Soon it will also have cameras in the front and rear. People make fun of these cars until they see them in person and then you have to beat them away with a stick.

As I recall, my strongest gotta-have-it phase was centered on Magnum's Ferrari 308. I'm aware now that that particular model handled like a pig and would have gotten smoked in the quarter by my old Civic Si, but that was beyond the scope, or care, of my then-10-year-old brain.

Beaten to it again! I always loved that Ferrari, too, when I was a kid.

Also, I know a bloke who has a Torino the same as in Starsky and Hutch, and it used to be a police car somewhere in the US. But with it's 470(I think) cubic inches, it's bloody thirsty, so he doesn't drive it all that much.

I would like the general lee, just not painted like it. I would much rather have just a 69 dodge charge with a hemi that was painted metallic blue.

but I guess I could have the general repainted.
