Default Your favourite type of motorsport

I've used general categories rather than specific series for fairly obvious reasons (way too many!) but by all means feel free to say which series you like the most.

Just in case the categories aren't clear, then here's some examples:

Touring Cars - BTCC, V8 Supercars, NASCAR, etc.

Open Wheeler - F1, F3000, IRL, etc.

GT - Le Mans, ALMS, GT Production, etc.

Rally - WRC, Hillclimbing, Rallycross, etc.

Drag Racing - Funny Cars, Top Fuel, Drag Bikes, etc.

Speedway - OK I'll be honest, I'm not familiar with Speedway but was advised by a friend that I should include this.

Motorbikes - 500cc, Superbikes, Motocross, etc.

Other - Do I really need to explain this?!

Not trying to be pedantic(well, not too much), but the MotoGP class is the new Grand Prix class for bikes, which replaced the 500's(well, technichally, the GP1 class). They're up to 990cc four strokes.

And yes, they're my favourites(probably obviously), although there's nothing like the Bathurst 1000. Or Targa Tasmania...

Well you learn something new everyday. I guess it's pretty obvious I don't follow bikes much isn't it!

BTW, I'm a rally fan myself. I'm just itching for the WRC to start again.

I don't think you should group together NASCAR with Aussie V8. But I suppose that's just my extreme aversion to oval racing butting in.

Open-wheel all the way!

NASCAR should probably be in the speedway cat. There are only two road-style courses on the annaul NASCAR circuit. The rest are ovals of some discription with stadium seating.

I voted rally. I don't see the pleasure in watching cars race around in circles for hours.

I voted for touring cars. I love the British and Australian Super-Tourers series on The Speed Channel. Rally racing comes in a close 2nd. F1 a close third. I guess most any road trad racing is what I like, with Laguna Seca as my favorite track. Nascar and the roundy-rounders don't do a thing for me.

Another vote for WRC. I spent New Year's Day watching the highlights from last season on the Speed channel.

Laguna Seca is a beautiful track ... the "corkscrew" is wild. Spa in Belgium is pretty good (but they keep messing with it). I generally like road courses with altitude changes. Mosport is great. Bathurst (Mount Panorama) is wonderful.

I'm not much into motorsports but followed the CART series somewhat because of Kenny Brck. Watch the occasional f1 race as well. I wish they would cut the ovals out of CART. But now I hear Brck is switching to IRL and that is nothing but ovals.... ZzzzzZZZzzzz
