[i][*Note*: this thread was split from the The most attractive part of a woman's body thread in ~~Elsewhere~~. pescifish]
Another example of a man objectifying women. Even the mods are part of this. The most beautiful part of a woman is that they have the strength to put up with all the abuse that a male dominated society can pile on them. Women are truly the stronger sex. Men would collapse under the weight of the demands and insults that women have and will have to endure at the minds of men . Male pride couldn't endure the indignity of being a second class citizen. Learn to appreciate women for their strengths, in spite of your male procreating inspired libido. The answer to your poll is .............................................why objectify and get real- Stop it.!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Just because I happen to find one or more particular portions of a women's body attractive, so what? In no way is a person merely the sum total of their physical attriibutes.
If a woman has beautiful eyes, then she has eyes that I find beautiful. This is in no way objectiifying her, merely a statement about one small portion of her. While you are at it, could you please complain in a similar manner about this thread: http://www.iidb.org/vbb/showthread.p...threadid=59733 |

Besides I adhere to the Bob Newhart school of psychology- when you find things that people are doing wrong- why beat around the bush- Just STOP IT! |

Sexual objectification- when a womans sexual parts are seperated from the rest of her personality and reduced to instruments, and made to represent her. This usually occurs when she doesn"t want it. The problem is, a womans identity is then defined by her attractiveness. Women are being made to see themselves the way men see them. This objectification degrades her self identification of her personhood with her body. So keep it up catalyst, add dissention and assumptions and stereotypes to the formula and really get a reaction going. You White American Societally Priveleged (21st century WASP) males have a lot of growing to do. Men think objectively and women think subjectively and not many on this site can disagree with the main difference between the sexes. |

I did say this: "In no way is a person merely the sum total of their physical attriibutes." Note the fact that phyiscal attributes was termed 'mere' as in, far less than, what truly makes someone an individual. What is wrong with finding someone physically attractive? And what makes you think I am white? I am not. And you have making numerous gross generalizations instead of supporting your arguments (assertions, really). If I actually stop to define someone, it is more along the lines of personal interaction, and how I feel about them as a person, not their appearance, regardless of gender. |

I love women...I love their lips, breasts, and butts. I love their hair, big brown eyes, and the smalls of their backs. I love their laughter, conversation, and attention to detail. I love their intelligence, wit, and their ability to put up with my shortcomings. Not all women have these qualities, but surely I am allowed to express these thoughts without your condemnation. lhiuvme |

Yeah ,and I believe you. The beauty of the internet is no one knows who you are or how small you are.
This is what I responded to. Originally posted by catalyst I do? Thanks for letting me know. Please state how what I have said with respect to finding something beatiful is in some way objectifying a woman? .................................................. ..................................... I believe I answered your question on objectifying women. The reason I assumed you are white is because white male privilege has a sense of entitlement in which they feel justified in objectifying women ( I still believe that you are white). People who are marginalized in some way by race, sex or ableism tend to be more sensitive to the impact their actions have on others. For instance, If I have experienced racism, then I am more aware of how racism affects me and others. If I am a woman, then I am more aware of how sexism or objecification affects my sisterhood. People who have racial or class privilege don't have this kind of self actualization. I have witnessed this many times on the infidels discussion forum. .................................................. .............................................. quote Catalyst And you have making numerous gross generalizations instead of supporting your arguments (assertions, really).-( catalyst-about women-you aren't generalizing?) If I actually stop to define someone, it is more along the lines of personal interaction, and how I feel about them as a person,-(ID.s-well say so then- action and words)- not their appearance, regardless of gender. And I quote you- Jeebus on a pogo stick. Am I the only guy manly(prickly) enough here to say that I like a chick with a really great ass? -and- No you are not. (theres more of you than I can beat off with a stick) However, I find myself in something of a quandry. I can generally find SOMETHING(bully for you) to admire on any REASONABLY(bully for you) ATTRACTIVE( how does it feel being graded by a prick asshole) woman. Just because I happen to find one or more particular portions of a women's body attractive,(bully for you) so what( go have babys then and leave her)? In no way is a person merely the sum total of their physical attriibutes.-(So why is only physical attractiveness mentioned by you) If a woman has beautiful eyes, then she has eyes that I find beautiful. This is in no way objectifying her, merely a statement about one small portion of her.( if your penis is small then maybe I should tell the world- Oh but its just a small portion of you) While you are at it, could you please complain in a similar manner about this thread: http://www.iidb.org/vbb/showthread....&threadid=59733 I answered-What for. Men like to be objectified- its the way they think. Icallit dinks for brains or all in all it was all just a prick in the hole. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- you the catalyst- I do? Thanks for letting me know. Please state how what I have said with respect to finding something beatiful is in some way objectifying a woman? .................................................. ............................................. I said--Dig into this and analyze what you're saying. You are saying the sum of her parts that you perceive as BEAUTIFUL ( a perception you hold as relevant to her being) precedes her value as a member of the human race. She's there to gratify your needs as a man- to be candy for your judgmental eyes and perverted libido. So what don't you understand about this? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- catalyst said Please show me where I have said this. I did say this: "In no way is a person merely the sum total of their physical attributes."(where- on what thread?) Note the fact that phyiscal attributes was termed 'mere' as in, far less than, what truly makes someone an individual. (as in "she's merely a woman so who cares") What is wrong with finding someone physically attractive? And what makes you think I am white? I am not. And you have making numerous gross generalizations instead of supporting your arguments (assertions, really). If I actually stop to define someone, it is more along the lines of personal interaction, and how I feel about them as a person, not their appearance, regardless of gender. .................................................. ...................................... I believe you are lying to stretch your own bigotry and biases to paint a picture of normalicy of your obvious objectifying of women. Take a close look at what you've said- If you were in a court of law you would have purgered yourself by now. |
