Dr. Strangelove has always been my favorite comedy. I also liked Shampoo, which had some great scenes

Try watching This Is Spinal Tap with the commentary turned on, for those with DVD players. It is even funnier than the actual film.

"The Fiendish Plot of Fu Manchu", like "Dr. Strangelove", showcases Peter Sellers' talents in multiple roles.

I also liked Sellers in "Murder By Death"

"Say your goddamn prepositions!"
