How about this plan: members of the military obey orders from their superiors, as they are sworn to do. The Joint Chiefs who rebuffed Clinton's attempt back in 1992 to issue a new executive order respecting treatment of gays should have been disciplined, not accomodated. Of course Clinton could have been a lot less ham-handed about it, but in my opinion the Joint Chiefs were finally insubordinate to their CIC. But that discussion should not have taken place publically, and it was mostly Clinton's fault that it did.

There is a BIG difference between a racism and homophobia. In comparison, who cares if the other person is from a different country/race. But if the other person wants to suck your shlong and catch you one-eyed bending over for the soap...well, that paints an entirely different picture! Wouldn't you agree?

Then again, one always has to look on the bright side. If you figure the guy loves/wants you he'd take a bullet for you.

As soon as you let them in, there they go off, conquering the entire known world, founding new dynasties and empires, getting immortalized in history.

I've been seen nude by females, including one rather sluttish one that very well might have been interested in sucking it. I do not believe I've ever been seen nude by a gay but I have no way of knowing for sure. So what?

Since we are currently involved in a conflict with an enemy that detests homosexuals and deplores the idea of female warriors I have a suggestion:

As part of our Psy-Ops program we create 2 new special forces units:

1. The VALKYRIE - the best female fighter pilots grouped together to rain indignant death on our enemies.

2. The FLAMETHROWERS - the most ruthless gay infantry personnel brought together to strike fear in the hearts of our enemies.

This assigns behavior to the gay person which is simply not there. Gay people are all around you. They are obviously not going around looking at every guy thinking they want to "suck his schlong" (as you said.)

This belief treats and imagines gay people as if they are simply going around being a slave to their base sexual desires.

I'm a straight man and I dont go around wanting to "bone" (since we are using such base terms) every woman I see. I know how to condust and control myself. Obviously gay men and women do too.

My life for a trick? Hardly! Would you die for your booty call chick? You have to understand, gay men are first of all MEN. Maybe that's what really bugs straight men about gay men: they dislike the idea that they might be objectified in the same way as they objectify women.

What gets me about the whole issue, is that the problem doesn't seem to be with those in the military who are gay, but with those who aren't. Who is the problem again? If anything, those who have problems with gay co-workers should be the ones to find other employment, if they can't do their job because of their own insecurities.

And yes, I'm using the words "co-worker" and "employment" intentionally.
