This is a serious spelling mistake. Two synonyms should not be used right after each other in the same phrase.
From m-w.com

Religious: 1 : relating to or manifesting faithful devotion to an acknowledged ultimate reality or deity.

Moron: 1 : a mentally retarded person who has a potential mental age of between 8 and 12 years and is capable of doing routine work under supervision
2 : a very stupid person

Synonym: 1 : one of two or more words or expressions of the same language that have the same or nearly the same meaning in some or all senses.

Conclusion:
- There is no spelling mistake
- "Religious" and "moron" are not synonyms
- You are intending to refer to the case of DOUBLE EMPHASIS.

But it is understood from H.W. Fowler (1858–1933). The King’s English, 2nd ed. 1908. (http://www.bartleby.com/116/504.html#45) that "Attempts at packing double emphasis into a single sentence are apt to result in real weakening."

So, the conclusion is either:
- That there is no double emphasis, and that the words religious and moron are objectively unrelated, or
- If they are related, the maker of the phrase does not believe what he says, for he resorts to Double Emphasis.

Hey, Old Man ~

Joke: 1 a : something said or done to provoke laughter; especially : a brief oral narrative with a climactic humorous twist b (1) : the humorous or ridiculous element in something (2) : an instance of jesting.

Don't worry...eventually the sphincter will relax.

This I think is the key point, how can I respect an irrational belief and why should I pretend to. I have to pretend to not look down on xianity enough at work. Here, I dont.

Why do people always fall back to first cause, and never apply it to their god. I am always incredibly impressed by this example of compartmentalized thinking.

You are right Paddy. Much of what passes as Christianity these
days is nothing but sentimentalism. Pure, concentrated, emotion.
One clue to this is the over emphasis on music. Music is a
powerful tool for numbing the mind. Try singing "The Old
Rugged Cross" and thinking about the validity of your religion
at the same time. Betcha can't :-)

There was no "before the Big Bang". time, being a dimension within our universe, came into existance at the moment the Big Bang occurred.

Your question is somewhat analogous to:

"What happens when the temperature goes below 0 (zero) Kelvin?"

I am more than likely totally misreading this but, It seems I can certainly be honest and vocal about disagreeing with a religion / political view / or other opinion while maintaing a degree of civility.

In the end though you are the one that has to live with the consequences.
