You are the only other person I know that has ever even heard of this book. I loaned out my copy a few years back and have never seen it again. I have been trying to get another copy but i think it is out of print.

I liked "Another Roadside Attraction" a lot, but my favorite is probably "Jitterbug Perfume."
Jitterbug Perfume is clearly his best work. Another Roadside Attraction is also a great one and Cowgirls was alright. I certainly wouldn't have picked it for adaptation to film. His last couple of books were alright but lacked an edge. Frog Pajamas and Fierce Invalids seemed to be trying to hard.

Robbins is one of my faves though and I am sure I will buy all his future works as I have bought and read all his works to date.

Fierce Invalids Home From Hot Climates. And I enjoyed it immensely, apart from his crappy and ad-hoc descriptions of granny hacking his email.

Cool Tom Robbins

Tom Robbins rocks. I've read all his works and planning on getting Villa Incognito soon. I've read all his works, but I think the best is Jitterbug Perfume.

I've read Another Roadside Attraction, Jitterbug Perfume, and Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas. I thoroughly enjoyed them all, though they're a bit... um, off the wall, what with the mysticism and all. My fave was Roadside Attraction. That's probably the one that makes the most fun of religion. I'm surprised that others think that it was one of his weakest.

I thought the ending of Jitterbug Perfume was a total epiphany...
