Unpossible. Nothing bad can possibly come from NZ.

Hey lunababe, if it's backstabbing and superficiality draped in saccharine platitudes with a refreshing gender bait-and-switch ye be wantin', TV is always there to provide.

Welcome back, Marcel! It's wonderful to see you posting again. I have fond memories of your introduction and I've been wondering where you'd gone.

[petulance] Well. Well, Peter Jackson more than makes up for that! [/petulance]

I'm not so sure about that Bachelorette thing after all. The people in those programmes always look so corny and plastic. No fun.

Haakon, do you remember "Lao det swinge, lao det Rock 'n' Roll"? Maybe it happened to you too; after several years of intending to like the Eurovision Song Contest because of the spectacle and because everybody likes it, you gradually realise it's just no fun anymore to watch it. And then you realise why; the songs are predictable; it's the songs of the happy-clappy style that always win.

(And then... Now I realise it's a sect! All the clappers in the audience are Born Agains! All liking the same type of music! All staring at the great screen which enlarges the dorks on the stage, repeating the karaoke-lines with their repetitive mantra-like indoctrinating lyrics! - )

Livius Drusus, I am surprised, not to mention amazed, that you still remember me! It must have been in the year 2000, that time when I introduced myself and raised the topic of Islam. This was way before September 11th. I was getting pretty irritated with the presence of the Islamic faith in my country.
I'll go and check those early postings...

Regards, Marcel.

I wish I could claim such elephantine memory, but actually I was referring to your thread in the Welcome forum from last year. I remember it fondly because it was so beautifully written. Did you perhaps post under another username back in 2000?

Gladiator was a good movie. And it's the only one he made. And you can't convince me otherwise.
