I think that the creationists' analysis of Chinese characters is deeply flawed too... but as I said, I don't think Seebs justified any of his claims in his letter, so I agree with AiG when they pointed this out.

The author of that has posted his extreme disappointment at AiG over their "reply" in the talk.origins newsgroup.

A bit of an update:

Someone who appears to be a Chinese person living in Europe who had some scathing comments on talk.origins (or rather sci.lang crossposted to talk.origins) posted some of his notes on the affair <a href="http://www.sungwh.freeserve.co.uk/ng/" target="_blank">here</a>.
