I voted for Islam, currently the most violent, intolerant and oppressive religion around.
I wouldn't want anybody to think I favoured any of the others on the list though. |

Christianity, because I have had the most bad experiences directly relating to it. I have never had anyone from any of the other religions walk up to me randomly and try to coerce me into conversion.

Islam.
Because the chances I or a loved one will be killed by someone who sincerely believes the Quran is the "Truth" are much greater than someone who holds similar beliefs in the Bible (or any other book, for that matter). At least at this moment in time. |

Islam for reasons already mentioned. Also because it is incompatible with democracy or so I have heard a couple of prominent Muslims proudly claim recently.

I rate tolerance religion as the most obnoxious, as it tolerates no other religion but itself. Of course, other religions do the same, but not in such a blatantly hypocritical way as tolerance religion. I find tolerance religion to have adherents in all religions, including non-religion as well.

Well, I put other. I was gonna say Xianity, but after some discussion with other board members here who say that Catholicism isn't Xian, I'd have to say Catholicism.
After further reading of this thread though, I too, like Mageth's reply. But I'm sticking to my guns on the Catholics. |

I put "other" on account of not being able to choose.
Generally speaking, though, the Abrahamic religions are the most powerful and therefore the most able to manipulate and destroy people. Christianity in particular is also just plain crap. I mean, Judaism believes in God and is waiting for the Second Coming(TM) and Islam says "There is no God but God, and Muhammed is his messenger", but Christianity is split into about eight million different little bits which say that the trinity is equal, or the Father is the greatest, or the Son is greatest, or the Holy Spirit is greatest, or that they are all the same, or that the Father is the Holy Spirit, or that Jesus was the messenger of God, or actually was God, or that Jesus was born of a virgin and Mary (the virgin) was "immaculately concieved" so as to be pure. And then you've got Catholics (and I don't give a shit what anyone here says, Catholics damn well are Christians - no, you aren't special, no matter what your mum told you) who believe a whole bunch of other stuff, and you've got Mormons and Witnesses and millions of others who all just go around saying "My Jesus is better than your Jesus" instead of doing something useful, like displaying some of that "Christian Love(TM)" that they're always harping on about. I mean, at least Hinduism has the Kamasutra. Something useful, guys. |

I also picked Christianity and would also link it to Judaism & Islam.
All authoritarian/paternalistic dogma plauged religions. Though some of the followers of each seem to have the right idea (what's so funny 'bout peace love and understanding ) the majority don't. The others are harmless world views of a spititual nature more than religion. Chritianity, as practiced by many, is a brutal carrot & stick system with no real morality or spiritual growth. |

I picked Islam, due to its record in the last few decades of fundamentalism.
I have a deep distaste for fundamentalist Christianity, too, but most Christians aren't fundamentalist, even here in the USA. Whereas worldwide, it seems that most Muslims are quite fundamentalist, and the Wahabbi extremists are doing their best to silence the few moderate and liberal Muslims that may be out there. -Kelly |

Islam...how far behind can you be? The rest are awful as well. We could only wish for them ALL to die.
