Now it seems to me, Mr. Sammi, that you are simply overcomplicating matters considerably. It seems you are attempting to simply redefine "mistake" and simultaneously require that your particular definition of "mistake" is somehow more well thought out or philosophically in depth than merely labelling certain things "mistakes."

It's either that or you are searching for some objective standard of morality.

Feather,

It looks like good detective work on your part. My true aim is to raise the level of "common Sense" by using a cognitive form of modelling which MAY HELP to reduce the errors one encounters while thinking and acting, with oneself AND with others.

The PIKi model is a general model, which would have to be instantiated LOCALLY as a domain specific entity. Philosophical and Psychological parameters can probably be used effectively on a local model.

I will be gone for a few days...

While you're gone, consider formulating a post that actually explains what you mean by "PIKI" model and how it might be applied to "human errors."

Greetings:

It's pretty presumptuous, Sammi, to claim that you know that I 'usually encounter errors when thinking and acting'.

Mr. Sammi,

Slip-up, faux pas, mistake, screw-up, error, etc.,-----why have synonymns if each does not connote some, if even minute, difference in meaning? Do you err when you confuse a mistake with an error? Or are you simply mistaken? What is common to all of the meanings of the words listed above is that they have subjective interpretations; they have no objective meanings!

You might enjoy reading some of Thomas Hardy's novels to see examples of an almost malevolent determinism destroying human lives and dreams.
Does Hardy believe God erred by abandoning this planet? In the instance of a flood destroying property, which is in error-- the persons who build houses on the river bank or the raging river?

PIKI, as defined by the only person willing and able to do so, is an employers' device for getting the most work out of employees.

Stay tuned for post part(um) 2

2.,

I usually do not engage in verbal meandering; but, when I get into a thread in search of an idea, well. . . Error actually means wandering.
Am I in error to expect some clearly defined guideposts that would prevent me from considering everything from unexpected diarrhea to cosmic vicissitudes? Am I unintelligent for expecting clarity?

A meteor is quckly approaching Earth"s atmosphere. Destruction of the meteor is up to a computer program. The program fails. Do the programmers grab their PIKI manual?

We seem to know that commonsense is to be applied while carrying out our lives. I am postulating that commonsense is the result of commensense thinking.

The PIKi model is formulated as an idea of commonsense thinking and has as its base philosophical dialogues of information processing.

Why do I presume, you have errors in thinking and acting, because the world cannot as yet think GOD could have made Adam and Eve at the same time, but the world was only able to express Adam being created first then Eve. I wonder what was GOD thinking when Adam was made with a Sperm bank?

Nuclear reactions are still in its infancy and everyone seems to believe all the radioactive waste is OK.

Errors are made if humans remain to clash with the river or sea without addressing the issue of their own safety, which may be jepordised at a later date.

A perception is a representation any representation. Information is lucid representations. Knowledge is specifics related to the Information. Intelligence is the fetching tools. Active memories consist of methods, perceptions, information, knowledge and intelligence.

Using Intelligence as the guide of the PIKi model, the model now has two distinct parts and both parts can be reused. The interior of the model can loosely describe itself as what it it is all about and any knowledge tips which philosophy can render or experience has fostered. The guide is the exterior of the model. The guide is a well defined strategy or a group of rules which govern the general manner in which the interior can achieve its knowledge.

Why a plan? To grow the life. Intelligence can at some times be some safe tips or ugly rules but this would be the extreme case. The use of intelligence and the use of knowledge and techniques to manipulate and verify the knowledge and perhaps its extent could be found useful as general rules of thinking.

Methods are good things. They can be logic, home-reasoning, cultural pratices, mathematics. The intelligent mathematician is the one who always applies the right methods or combination of methods.

This intelligent mathematician also knows. The brilliant mathematician understands as a soliphist, but can this mathematician communicate most of the information adaquately so the recipient mental units can percieve hopefully their information and find the method to convert the information to knowledge so the mental unit knows all about some example like square roots?

Getting 2 PIKi.

To achieve a cognitive model, one which allows the user to reflect upon itz form and be able to improve itself, the form of the model would best be the form of the form. The form of this cognitive model intended to be a common sense thinking package, is also based on the perception, information, knowledge and intelligence parameters which help gaz consciousness.

Taking a glance at one of Dennett's actresses, we can locate the Domain of the actress. In the Domain of this actress lies many PIKi models all bearing the perception representation, the information folly, the knowledge knuckle, and the intelligence engine. We cannot function as humans without this form of memories backing us up.

The real time instantiation of the model in our head when stablised becomes a memory of any category within the PIKi model. Our knowledge is accessable as a memory same as our Intelligence which is also recognisable as a memory pattern. When we are able to percieve our intelligence as a perception then we are able to reflect on our intelligence using the same form of the PIKi model.

* * *

In taking the step to define the cognitive form of the PIKi model, the one which can lessen the possibilities of errors, we should be able to show how the perception to information transition can be done, what are the human limits, and where errors are most naturally made in thinking of a perception and promoting the result to acceptable soliphist information. The reason of doubt can be introduced and a technique for doubting included which also points to independent corroboration of perceptions.

In detail the natural phenomena which is a priori to our own consciousness bringing a perceptive representation of the outside world is the natural limit of our human conscious control.

The cognitive effort to obtain knowledge out of information should be seen as a mammoth task and in order to correctly formulate the knowledge in one's head or to arrange the knowledge in useable form a few guidelines which allow the thinker the luxury of checking the forms of the groups used to make the information to knowledge transition. The classification of any "I KNOW" clause.

The thinking process and Intelligence will be back soon.

Feather, I am sending excuses for the previous fluff.
