A general comment:

Most people accept the world as it is and try to adapt to it. A very few look at what is wrong and try to change it. (I say all this in a general sort of way.)

On this thread we see people struggling to comprehend the imperfect language and manage with it as best they can. And we saw myself attempt to change/improve the language instead.

My way was apparently too strange for serious consideration. Although Mr. Stevens did seem to take the problem into consideration.
