I've been a PC-Gamer since 1990.

Here is my list of best PC games...

- Best game I'm playing right now is Anarchy Online.

- Best (single player) RGP ever: The Elder Scrolls Chapter 2: Daggerfall

- Best MMORGP: Asheron's Call 1 ("The sound of Krieger killing Tusker Guard is followed by the silence of death!")

- Best strategy game: either WarCraft/StarCraft, Age of Empires, Command and Conquer or Heroes of Might and Magic. Shit, they were all good. =/

- Best FPS: the original Heretic (I'm listening to the Heretic MIDI files as I type this... )

- Best "horror" game: Alone in the Dark (the first one)

- Best graphical adventure game: Myst (well, when it first came out...)

- Best sports game: Need For Speed SE (the first one)

Best online game EVER!: Counter Strike

Best FPS: Half-Life

Best turn based strategy game: Civilization 3 (or 2)

Best normal stratagey game: Age of Mythology (but mainly cause im a mythology buff)

Best RPG, single player: Baldurs Gate 2

The Tomb Raider Series, i never get sick of them.

Quake 2, kickass music.

Nethack, not the text-based, but the quasi-graphical version.

Monkey Island, not the latest OpenGL version. i cant remember the exact name, my sister gave my version to a friend of hers 2 years ago and she hasnt given it back yet.

Best BBS game: LORD. did anyone else play that? I loved that game.

Well I've been a gamer since around 1989/90.

If you don't mind me sticking in my own category, my nominations for Best PC games ever: System Shock and System Shock 2 .

As for your categories, let's see.

Best FPS: I don't really play FPS's but Doom and Jedi Knight I played and enjoyed.

Best RPG: I'm relatively new to RPG's but to date I really love the Quest for Glory series and Arcanum . In the action-RPG genre I quite like Throne of Darkness .

Best MMORPG: I don't play games online.

Best Strategy: Dune 2 , Command and Conquer , WarCraft II and StarCraft .

Best Horror: The System Shock games.

Best Adventure: Anything from Sierra basically, but my particular favourites are Leisure Suit Larry 6 and Space Quest 5 .

Best Sports: I don't play sports games either.

Best game that I'm playing right now: I'm having a lot of fun with Pretty Good Solitaire 500 .

I am a pretty seasoned gamer, I've been into computer gaming ever since the first editions of PC Gamer, early 1994. The first game I played on my own computer was a side-scroller budget game called Captain Comic for DOS.

BEST GAME OF ALL TIME IS SAM AND MAX HIT THE ROAD!!!!!!!!!

Cinema adventure: The Pandora Directive
Graphic adventure: Full Throttle (2nd to Sam and Max)
Action: Deus Ex
Stealth: Thief (gotta give nods to the originator of the genre)
Shooter: Counter-Strike
RPG: Wasteland or Fallout 2 (I'm a sucker for the setting and gameplay)
Online RPG: Asheron's Call (No fucking expansion packs, free monthly updates!)
Strategy: any Civilization game
Sports: I don't play sports games. Get off your ass and play the real thing!
Simulation: Like sports games, get a pilot certification or join the military, dork!

- Best (single player) RPG ever: If you're talking PC, there aren't many to pick from. I'd have to go with Baldur's Gate II.

- Best MMORGP: There's no such thing as a good MMORPG, much less a "best" one...

- Best strategy game: STARCRAFT!!

- Best FPS: Unreal Tournament

- Best "horror" game: 7th Guest

- Best graphical adventure game: The Treasure Island series...

- Best sports game: I haven't seen a single worthy sports game for the PC...

I don't have much experience in horror, strategy, or MMORPG's, and I don't play sports games... sorry And there are a lot of adventure games I haven't played, as well...

Anyway, I've been playing PC games since... probably 1989, 1990, somewhere around there. Unfortunately, most of my experience comes from console gaming, so I'm not a great source of PC-game opinions...

I'm not currently playing any PC games.

Nah, we can't count emulation. Otherwise I could say Metroid 1 was the best Playstation game ever

I thought I'd throw in my opinions on horror and strategy, even though I haven't played many for the PC.
Best Horror: the original Alone in the Dark.
Best Strategy: Master of Magic!
