I'm using a Windows machine, but I've got a few songs and videos I've downloaded off the net in a Quicktime format. Is there any way of arranging a playlist of these things? I can't see any options in Quicktime for making playlists, and the things wont play in any other application besides Quicktime player. I saw a download for a playlist organiser on the apple site, but it said it would only work with a Mac OS. Can anyone help, or am I doomed to failure unless I go and buy a Mac?

I'm at work at the moment, so I don't have access to my usual computer resources (in fact, I don't even have quicktime installed, so I can't take a look), but my first suggestion would be to find the movies in a non-quicktime format. IMESHO, quicktime sucks. I try to work only with avi's whenever possible (and I prefer DivX or Xvid), and I suspect that, short of uncompressed video (

Although Realplayer is a pain in the ass, the latest version (RealplayerOne) will play ANY file and I think it has playlist organizing abilities.
As for being able to save QT files as something else, the cheapest way to do that (to my knowledge) is to shell out the $30 for QT Pro (though I'm not sure if they have a windows compatible version). Short of that, you can shell out whatever the going rate is these days for a professional sound edit program (like Sound Edit 16; I have Version 2 and it will open just about any sound file and let me save it as something else). If you really want total multi-media control over anything you create or download, then you'll have to shell out about $800 (if memmory serves) for Discreet Cleaner. Let's you re-render a QT video file, for example, into raw DV, Winmedia, Realplayer, etc. and has all kinds of fun, techno geek things you can do to any kind of video/audio. |

Thanks for the help! Unfortunately they aren't available in any other format, or I would already have downloaded the alternatives!

I looked at Realplayer, and it does indeed play Quicktime videos! Unfortunately, it WON'T play .wmv files, which is very annoying, because the point of the exercise was to create a playlist that would combine the two! :banghead: Apart from trying to find the videos in a quicktime format, does anyone else have any suggestions of how to play the two types of music videos together on one playlist (without me having to spend any/much money)?
