Tercel is making no argument. He's just rationalizing childish obstinance.
I want to believe and I don't care about anything else! That's it. That's the entire thrust of his position. Childish obstinance. Everything else is just window dressing. |

Tercel, I pretty much smashed many of your points, IMO. Care to address them?

If you want to change that then present some constructive arguments, and we'll go from there. But try to keep the insults to a bare minimum. [ May 21, 2002: Message edited by: Theli ]
|

While I feel that anyone is free to believe in "God" or "Gods" etc. of their choosing...and realize that great comfort comes to many people from these beliefs, the repressive actions of many religions aimed at people who do not see the existence of God(s) as truth makes it necessary to submit the following evidence that "supernatural beings with wisdom" do not exist.
The proof of non-existence is simple logic as follows: "What intelligent entity would "create" a system of life wherein every living thing must kill and eat some other poor living thing in order to survive ?????????" |

Takato,
I am a Christian, so perhaps you will listen to me. Though, I must admit, I am unsure as to whether you are actually a Christian or simply an atheist having a laugh - in which case it's not funny, only stupid. I say this because you're going about all this the wrong way. Simply calling people who disagree with you idiots is not very convincing, nor helpful - that's why posters like Koy don't get replied to. Imagine someone was to say to you: "I am sorry but how can there be a god? Where do you people think we come from: A great magical being in the sky? Well the truth is that it all simply works by natural laws. The whole creation thing is a bunch of shit. Now if you choose to ignore me that is ur deal but i will not stop me telling you what I think. DON'T BELIEVE." Was that helpful? Was it nice? Was it convincing? Did it do any good whatsoever? But that's exactly what you sound like from the atheist's point of view - I simply took your post above and changed the relevant bits. You say you are a Christian. Yet we are told to strive for love, kindness, gentleness, self-control, knowledge etc. I don't see you demonstrating any of that here. You swore, you tried to force your opinions on others, you weren't kind or considerate, you showed no respect for their thoughts. What sort of image of Christ -as exemplified by you- do you think your posting here leaves the unbelievers with? A not very good one in my opinion. So please either stop posting here, or radically rethink your attitude. Your brother in Christ, Tercel |
