Starboy:

Of course they would. Otherwise they might incorrectly observe the real world and determine that objects fall without having to first look down and notice that they'd walked off the edge of a cliff.

HA! Good point K..... what BETTER way to develop critical thinking skills in children? As long as the teacher is NOT imparting his views too strongly, that is.

I think every parent should also refrain from telling their children the "truth" about Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. Let the schools provide alternative theories about them, and allow the children to "sort out" what they want to believe and why they wish to believe it. After all, god could "poof" a jolly fat man and flying reindeer into existence if he wanted to.

Oyy....preventing the dumbing down of America is a difficult task indeed.

Edited to add "NOT"....sorry.

But you don't have a degree in physics either. So?

What do you consider "prompting"?:

"Mr. Hease, why don't you know anything about biology?"

"Well, Johnny,..."

And of course this opinion will be accompanied by the disclaimer that you really don't know anything much about biology but that isn't stopping you overruling all the professional biology researchers out there. After all, you wouldn't be thinking of using your position of authority in class to make it appear you know what your'e talking about when you tell your students that creationism is genuine science and evolution is the work of the devil (as in evilution), would you?

They break down AT a singularity; bit hard for them not to when everything's either zero or infinity, tends to do weird things to your equations. Microseconds later, things are different. Where is your documentation that the laws of nature are still broken down then?

Yeah, you're right on there pal--they only gave us hospitals, education, work ethic, love your neighbor (not just your jewish friend), ended slavery twice.
Don't you know that it's unscientific to exalt and magnify the data against a movement, whilst ignoring the abundant data in its favor?
It's what all humanists do. I wonder how many Saudi women are showing us there scientific expertise on web sites such as this?? Why does the 'West' have almost all the best scientists?? Please tell me the pat 'secular' response to this.

Peez,

You are welcome to peruse my past posts to determine what I think about science. I have a good number of posts on the subject. If there is something in paricular you would like to ask, fire away. Although it appears to me that you have already started.

After you have looked them over then perhaps we can have a meaningful discussion. It does appear that you have a burr up your ..... saddle.

Oh really??? You were there during those first microseconds I take it?

Er...no, I think YOU are. You don't teach English as well by any chance do you??

Refer back to Albion's post......

Yadda yadda yadda, I know, Chuck Colson tells you that ONLY Christianity has ALL the answers.....excuse me whilst I toss my cookies.

I think THIS discussion is best suited on another thread where many other de-programmed mythicists will be happy to oblige you.

Meanwhile, back to the Observatory.....

To begin with, that doesn't answer the questions I asked regarding theoretical physics.

Second, the laws of physicis do not break down during the first microseconds, although I get your intension.

But your question is a challenge for you, not me - does this "breakdown" invalidate physics?

A correlation/causation confusion on your part, perhaps?
