Apparently the Founding Fathers included their worship of the moongoddess Luna as well...may we all find wisdom in their ways.

Well, it's great to have a deadline (I wish I were half as disciplined) and I wasn't trying to be a whip-cracking slave-driver, but I must say that what should make you quit Civ3 is the horrible pain the AI inflicts on you at higher difficulties.

You're playing, what, Deity now? That's hradcroe.

PS- When can I see the next chapter of Mark or Vurth? Or is it written yet?

OK, tell you what. I work better when I have a deadline. Here it is, for all to see - my deadline for the next chapter is Tuesday. By hook or by crook, you'll have that part of the book, if I have to whip myself with a bottle of Folgers to do it. Good. This ought to make me buckle down and stop playing Civ III.
What's Mark and Vurth? Does the queen write fiction too?

It's actually The Mark of Vurth, a fantasy novel that I've begun.

And rest assured, Rim, that the greatest service you can do me right now is stapling me to that deadline. I played a Deity game last night and won; the thrill of victory was intoxicating and I'm trying not to get hooked.

Er, Mark or Vurth was a typo... I knew it was "of."

And Jesus fuck, you beat deity? Daaaa-yum.

Also, incredible guilt for shuffling you along to your workstation has spurred me to get off my arse and start writing Ch. 2 of Woman of Sorrow. WE'RE IN THIS TOGETHER NOW... NONE OF THEM CAN STOP US NOW... CRAWLING IN MY SKIN....
