I liked that latest trilogy. Looking forward to the next three if they ever appear.

ok, i'll bite. "Disney gets no permits and allows no county or state inspections. In 1967, the Florida Legislature granted Disney autonomy through Chapter 67-764 Laws of Florida. This information is also available in Chapter 163.167 Florida Statutes, and in particular, subsection 9, which grants Reedy Creek (i.e. Disney) the same powers and duties as any other Florida county or municipality. See www.state.fl.us/rcid/. The Amish never get permits or inspections of their buildings in any state, including Florida. They have a long history of maintaining their sovereign status, as do the Anabaptists.

It seems like this same battle needs to be fought every generation so Caesar can be reminded where his power stops."

What is he babbling about? Is there any accuracy to this rant?

Which would sort of suggest to me that those (godless, homosexual-loving pinko commie rat-bastard ) folks at Disney aren't required to get a freakin' building permit: Hovind, and you and I, are.

Never? Documentation, please?

In the words of a very old Bob Dylan song:
"I said, 'They rejected Jesus too!'
They said, 'You ain't him.'"

Get the fuck over it, Kent!

Geesh! I've written a number of short to medium-long stories. One of my characters is Buck-Tooth Barry, an adventurous, albeit clueless, hippo. One of his adventures involved him looking for the rare Bolivian Flopping Walrus along the Bolivian coastline.

But I'd never think of having BT Barry being that stupid as to look for a dinosaur in the Congo, though, I guess I could add that to my Isle of Sailing Fruit novel before he finds the missing book of History, Canadian World Domination.

Well, if it is a rhino, the way they can find one is by lighting a fire. We all know that rhinos are the self-appointed fire marshals of the jungle.

Well Hovind is a babbling fool, for sure. He lists a 163.167, but that doesn't exist, or atleast not in the Florida Statutes I'm reading right now. However, Reedy Creek is mentioned in a subsection 9 in 163.3167
Quote:
The Reedy Creek Improvement District shall exercise the authority of this part as it applies to municipalities, consistent with the legislative act under which it was established, for the total area under its jurisdiction.
I'd like to add, it may be that Disney doesn't have to apply for permits. Something that large would never get any work done. I'm very sure that there is an agreement with the state and local jurisdictions and Disney. That industry gives so much money to the area, they probably waive the fees of the permits, however, rest assured, the inspections do take place and Disney more than certainly lets the state and locals know whats going on.

And there is a connection between Reedy Creek and Disney, Hey, Hovind isn't completely stupid, he's just nuts!
And now about Ready Creek

George Carlin got it right. "Some people are stupid, other people are full of shit. And finally, some people are fucking nuts!."

Kent Hovind is all three!

Also, like camaban, I am a little confused as to why they think a living dinosaur would disprove evolution. How long have crocodiles been around relatively unchanged, after all?
No kidding. A long time. Same for sharks.

and many types of insects except for their size.

and that plant (forget the name) which has been around more or less unchanged for the past 235 million years.

the list goes on.

I think the Africa trip was simply a vacation billed to the gullible xians who donate to the ministry. My wife, Wildy, found another one chronicled on ChristianAnswers.net (or similar site). Except that one was a kayaking "expedition" to Alaska that brought back 1 fossil "from a river."

So much snake oil, so little time.
