As a sort of on topic aside what is the age at which someone can legally take part in a pornographic movie in the US?

Part of the problem with the www is that the rules are different in every country, i.e there is absolutely nothing stopping a 16 year old making a porn movie of themselves in the UK but if they then watched the film they would in fact be breaking the law! If they put the movie on the internet hosted outside the UK then the law here couldn't touch them but what would the law say in the US? Would watching the movie be illegal there? If the 16 year old visited LA to pick up his oscar could they be arrested for making the film under age?
