OK, this time I'll be serious and list true facts

1)I have a Dog and a Parrot whom I like much more than most humans
2)I love to spend as much time as I can with them
3)My favorite thing is to sit in the woods by the stream with my dog and listen to the sounds
4)I like all kinds of music
5)I like to read and watch movies, mostly science fiction or ancient history
6)mythology and religion fascinate me
7)I was a failure analysis engineer in the world of integrated circuits till I was put out to pasture
8)I love food!
9)I used to drink way too much, now I don't
10) I love this website!!

1. I have a 32 year old atheist son who occassionally posts on the photoshop thread using the name Dagda.

2. I have two toy dogs that I treat like little gods and two parrots that think they're little gods.

3. I love funky music, especially Parliment and The JBs

4. I'm insane about beautiful, fine jewelry.

5. The only reason I became an RN is there were too many English teachers and I wanted lots of job security.

This could be my belated introduction (the Welcome forum didn't exist when I registered):

1. I've been registered since Jan 2001 and reading these boards since Dec 2000, but I rarely post. The most I have contributed was a bunch of "comical" pictures in the photoshop thread, which have long been submerged. I wish I had more to say really!

2. I'm English, but live about 20 miles south of Atlanta with my US citizen wife. I have two step-kids who drive me mad and are adorable by turns (they think I used to live in a castle in England, hehe). I've been in this country for about 5 months.

3. I play guitar but don't practise enough to get really good. I wish I could motivate myself to play more, but there are always so many more things to do!

4. I lived and worked in Belgium for a year and I too developed a taste for Belgian beers of all kinds. My favourites were Leffe (blonde and brun) and Duval, but I would happily drink can after can of Stella (when it''s almost as cheap as bottled water, what else can you do?!)

5. I still aren't used to driving on the right.

6. I wish there were a curry house on the south side of Atlanta. I love curry. I don't like chinese food.

7. I still play Unreal Tournament online, but only while drunk.

8. I'm an atheist, but I don't think about it all that much anymore. I made my mind up ages ago and nothing I have seen so far has come close to changing it.

9. My favourite music is blues.

10. I know more about computers than is good for me, but only enough to be dangerous. I'm surprised this computer hasn't needed refromatting more than it has.

Phew, I was reaching by the time I got to the tenth, but I made it. *Gasps for air*

It's not quite the same, but if you favor Thai curries check out Zab-E-Lee, on Old National Hwy just north of 285. Not too far from the airport. Hope they're still there, best Thai restaurant in Atlanta IMO.

I don't have too much experience of Thai food, but I might give it a try. My only other option, it seems, is to go up to Marietta or Norcross to get Indian - but that's a good 1-1.5 hours drive!
