I'm in Warner Robins, about 2 hours south of you. Actually I was suprised that there wasn't much of a fight as well...I guess the principal is just worried about lawsuits and/or losing his job. Around here the principles aren't administrators as much as they are politicians.

I had a contract about two years ago at the AFB there, upgrading some of their servers. I spent about 5 weeks there, though I went home for the weekends.
