I thought one of those two would go, not both. I thought Vincent was a shoo-in to get booted - I'm guessing he was the one on 18.72% of the vote (Saxon got 18.8 something). Vincent will probably go next, if he is nominated.

I should prefix this post by saying that I'm a hetero guy, buy I think Saxon was gorgeous. I mean, I understand that you can't ball your eyes out and ask for your mummy on national tv and expect not to be booted, but he's a truly down to earth guy and just so sensitive. I have pretty strong feelings about how he was strung along by Jo, but I won't go into that. Long story short, he was pretty unlucky I think, because if he didn't have his heart broken, he'd have done really well.

I should put the obligatory point in here about how I never used to like BB, in fact I used to refuse to watch it, but this season got me hooked. I just think it's been really well produced this year, in terms of choosing an excellent bunch of people. Not excellent because they are nice or intriguing or whatever, but more because there was always going to be goings on given the group dynamics. Enough sensative souls, manipulative bitches and hard-arse ex-cops that it something was going to click. Then you've got a couple of zany folk on the side for the slow times.

I just wish that people voted on what would make for interesting viewing rather than who they don't like. Saxon, Jo and Ben would all still be there if I had my way.

I hear that there is going to be a "swap" situation whereby two Australian housemates will be swapped with two British housemates. At least, I think that's what's going to happen. They've already finished a swap think with the British/South African houses...they sent us a handsome and bitchily funny popular housemate and we sent them...Chester the Molester.

If any South Africans are reading this, we're not all like Cameron.

Actually, I've stopped watching the show in the UK. With this swapsies stunt, it has Jumped the Shark(tm). Also, the producers were editing it in favour of Chester and that bastard Ray, and I am perfectly convinced that they fudged the votes so that the godlike Jon would be chucked out.

Furthermore, all the boys that are left were generally groping, fondling and abusing the girls, and this is treated as "a bit of a laugh" rather than something that should be severely punished. Also Chester (or "Cameron" if you prefer) is a born again Baptist with all the tendencies for violence that implies.

Excuse me, I'm just venting.

At least the British Big Brother had the (from what I've heard) hugely popular Jon in the show. I don't think the Australian BB would touch a geeky character like him with a ten foot pole.

They said last night they're bringing in Anouska from the British series.

Anouska was the first person out in our series. She is v. pretty, despite her habit of wearing no bra and poorly-chosen tops. Or maybe that's a good thing.

She was voted out on account of being super-flirty and far too silly for her own good. Never underestimate the power of teenie-text, nor the girls who don't like other girls, especially flirty ones.

[rant] What pisses me off about the whole reality TV phenomenon is how poeple with no discernable talent or redeeming qualities are offered up on the altar of celebrity and suddenly those who regard TV Week as an intellectual journal hail them as possessing some sort of insight into all things based only on the fact they have been locked in a house for a couple of months doing nothing more than scratching their collective behinds and engaging in utterly banal conversations and it illustrates how pathetic things are when the decietful, manipulative Jo suddenly gets jobs offers from law firms (not exactly the bastions of integrity themselves so her qualities mauy work well in this case) that she would have no hope if she had to solely compete on merits and not on flashing her tits and I am ashamed that I actually know her name but she damn well keeps popping up on the publicity merry go round that she is so hard to miss and now in the pursuit of ratings some trollop from Britian who seems utterly despicable as a human being is being brought over to encourage more of the medicore of society to rise well above their stations and bypass achieving anything on merit which sends a great message in that it doesn't matter if you are stupid with no real talent, no admirable character traits or anything worthwhile to offer TV will find you a niche and bring you fame until next year when you are forgotten and the horror dawns that your 15 minutes are up and fame will now consists of making appearances at shopping malls or charity events in the vain hope that someone may remember who you were and what you did but the reality is that you are as obscure as before and being in a unique situation did not make you unique yourself nor a contribute anything of worth in the end./[rant]
