It's interesting he thinks you'd prefer to poison him/curse him than simply leave him. Anyway if he'll let you tease him about such things then that's a pretty good sign. I guess you're going to whether he lets you or not, in fact!
Well, as for the poisoning thing goes, he thinks I'd like to get my hands on the life insurance. He is telling me that he knows I'm plotting to leave him and he doesn't know why I am sticking around.

The teasing is pissing him off. Even though his little comments were pissing me off, too. The cereal box got pounded into oblivion this morning by him because I wouldn't back down. So, while cooking breakfast, I started to think about the voodoo doll and his awesome mother poisoning his father and I had a huge grin on my face. He asked why I was smiling and I told him. His face turned white. I guess I am turning evil...

WOW. Blondegoddess, I'm sorry you have to go through this. I'm an atheist with all xians around me. Fundie xians at that, so I can relate.

I read through this thread and I'm floored. No one should have to deal with this kind of situation, but someone always is..

I'm angry, I'm sad, but I'm happy that you have shared your thoughts with us. You'll be fine. You have us to talk to.

Sincerely,
Refused (Rodney, to be personable )

bg,

Your comment about the cereal box worries me. Yes, I know my wife tried to destroy my guitar, but in our house I'm still the man with all that nature-given testosterone flowing. I could take care of myself.

I don't know you, but I'm getting more worried about your situation. It sounds like he's not above violence. PLEASE be careful!!!

Has it occurred to him that Satan is putting all these evil thoughts in his mind?

Probably at your bidding, I suppose...

Anyway he needs to fill his mind with the Word of God (that would be the Christian approach, I mean) instead of all these fears about your evil plans. He'd be much happier if he'd stop speculating about all the evil you are trying to do to him.

I can see the problem here. You're enjoying being evil far too much!

take care

Question A few questions...

Out of curiousity, how bad is (was?) your father in law that he deserved to be murdered by poisoning, and why couldn't your mother and law have sought more legal means of recourse? Also, how did your husband ever become an accomplished enough programmer to crack your computer if he avoids computers for fear of demonic influence?

Your husband scares me. Are you sure you're safe in the same house with him? You sound like a very nice, reasonable person who has survived a difficult history. Your husband sounds like the one who has lost his sanity. I am honestly worried about your safety.

I share Darren's concerns.

Well, my father-in-law is Satan himself. Um, he was very cruel to her and she taught him a lesson. He also had several mistresses at once. I wouldn't do it, but I cannot imagine the mental torture he inflicted on her.

My husband has about ten years of college. Some of that was for computers. When he actually messes with them, he knows more than I do.

Thanks for your concern. My husband has never hit me. I don't think he will now. Most of the remarks are made out of sarcasm. But the irritate. I'll see how things go. But I think I will do less to provoke him for the time being.

Wow, the two of you have really had a lot to deal with in your childhoods. I'm amazed.

It's probably best not to provoke anyone who believes you may be demon possessed, although I imagine the temptation must be great to tell him your evil eye is watching him.

Can you make that face the next time he tells you that you're possessed. Or how about this one.

Just in an effort to place this absurd and Philistinian play in some lighter perspective:

My husband has about ten years of college.

Correspondent courses from a Bible School?
