You know, there is a simple solution to all of this speculation (though not necessarily conclusive if demonstrated false): Were any of the bodies in gas masks or were there any gas masks nearby? If not, why not?
Wouldn't somebody expecting to be caught alive and knowing the tactics of American soldiers (having been, most likely, trained at least indirectly by them a decade or so ago and having watched just about all of American exported "culture") also be expecting a knock-out gas attack, and therefore be wearing his mask at all times? Haven't we all seen the same movies, where the "bad guy" says, "You've got to arrest me, you're a cop!?" Only occasionally does the cop actually kill him in that situation (the later killing being saved for a legally defensible move on behalf of the "bad guy"). Seems to me a simple question would be, where were their gasmasks to prevent themselves from being easily knocked-out by American gas attacks? I certainly don't see any marks from extensive, four hour long (or even periodic) wearing of any gasmasks on the photos. Or didn't they think that American soldiers would even attempt to capture them alive? |

By the way, I don't care what your answer is because whatever it is, it will be pretentious, arrogant, insulting and otherwise uninteresting and incondusive to debate so I won't bother reading it. Have fun. |

You ended up answering your own question. It´s pretty obvious to anyone with a few basic notions on combat operations, that the team going in is not the one who shoots and provides the diversion. And how did they get there in the first place?! What I'm saying is that they have no way to get close enough to use flashbangs. It doesn't matter if the grenades are actually thrown by the team or by others, the problem is you can't get them in position in the first place! |
