Can the GOP senators select even ONE person from their membership who isn't an ignorant bigot to lead them?!
If so, who is it likely to be? Please see CNN on the subject. |

"If the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual (gay) sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery. You have the right to anything,"
He's right, though. All of those should be outside of govermental authority. |

Can't say I disagree with you.
However, he was (obviously, I think) equating the act of homosexuality with the others on the same level of (im)morality. That is, he was condemning gays as immoral, promiscuous sluts (i.e. the usual). |

Santorum is one of the biggest fundie jackasses in the Senate. He was responsible for the infamous "Santorum Amendment" of the "No Child Left Behind [sic]" bill. It was written by Philip Johnson, and though the wording of the amendment is non-controversial, the creationists constantly cite it as meaning that Federal Law now mandates their nonsense to be taught. It never actually got into the final version of the bill, but is part of the conference language; that doesn't stop the dishonest creos from saying that it's law though.
Dear people of Pennsylvania: Please get rid of Santorum. theyeti |

I know that it may seem like all the Republicans are whacky fundy biggots but there are a few exceptions.
Lincoln Chafee of RI Olympia Snowe of ME Arlen Specter of PA I know of a Log Cabin Republican in AZ but I can't recall his name. Honestly though I cannot understand why these honorble people would choose to associate with this party especially considering that fianacial policy between the parties has become so homogenous. |

Lincoln Chafee of RI
Olympia Snowe of ME Arlen Specter of PA None of whom has the slightest chance of being elected a Republican leader inthe foreseeable future. I know of a Log Cabin Republican in AZ but I can't recall his name. Do you mean Rep. Jim Kolbe? Mark |
